TYRONE
At Hillside Community Church – Tyrone, you'll find a welcoming church family passionate about faith, family, and community. Every Sunday, more than 150 people gather for worship in a relaxed, friendly environment where everyone is welcome—whether you arrive in a Hummer or on a Harley. Our services feature engaging worship, practical, Bible-centered teaching, and opportunities for the whole family, with children's ministry and nursery available during both of our Sunday services at 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM.
Our heart extends far beyond our church walls. We believe one of the best ways to share the love of Jesus is by serving our neighbors, and we're committed to being an active part of the Tyrone community. Through projects like free oil changes for single moms and widows, community-wide Vacation Bible School, teen winter camps, community clean-up days, serving the Tyrone Area School District and local hospital, and building wheelchair ramps for those in need, we're always looking for new ways to make a difference. We also offer ministries for every stage of life, including men's and women's groups, Kid's Club, middle school and teen ministries, and a GriefShare group beginning in September 2026.
As a non-denominational church, our mission is simple: to help people take their next step closer to Jesus. Whether you're exploring faith for the first time, returning to church, or looking for a place to grow, you'll find genuine people, meaningful relationships, and a community that's excited to walk alongside you.
SERVICE TIMES
Sunday | 9:30am & 11:00am
Randy zitterbart - campus pastor
Pastor and his wife, Beth, have been married for over 30 years and are grateful for the family God has blessed them with, including their two married sons and a beautiful granddaughter. Before entering full-time ministry, he spent 20 years working in corrections before God called him into a new season of serving the local church. That journey has continually reminded him that no one is perfect—we're all works in progress who depend on God's grace every day.
His greatest passion is helping people discover that following Jesus is about a relationship, not simply religion. He loves building genuine relationships and creating opportunities to share the hope found in Christ. Outside of church, you'll likely find him enjoying an annual getaway with Beth, golfing with friends, or gathering around the dinner table with his family—moments that continually remind him of God's faithfulness and blessing.
